Time passes so quickly when I'm not at work and it's now causing my performance to suffer. I don't know when or why I developed an anxiety disorder, but it's really unpleasant.
My sympathy. I've suffered horrifically due to anxiety. Pretty much destroyed my life. It does get better though. When I was having my worst times I couldn't concentrate on anything. Felt like I was losing my mind. If I could be cured by having someone saw off my leg with a butterknife and no anaesthetic I would do it in a heartbeat.
But long story short I dealt with the worst times by just curling up in bed and trying to concentrate on listening to audiobooks. When I was too bad to even concentrate on that I would just repeat to myself 'this too shall pass' or that Buddhist chant. Nam myoho renge Kyo. I dunno why that helped it was just calming I guess.
You'll get better. Best of luck to you. Severe anxiety is awful. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
