Lol, Louis CK is great. One of those "why" tangents with my daughter led up to the heat death of the universe. It was like "don't worry, by the time the sun goes out you and everybody you love will be dead anyway". I'm pretty sure Louis CK does an exact bit like that and it went down like that word for word.

Louis CK is great because he knows his shit. I remember seeing one show when he was talking about right or wrong and he just rattled off the categorical imperative as naturally as ever, very casual. His little rant about being in this was straight from Sartre and Husserl.

Louis CK is a genius, particularly his show Louie which imo the most recent seasons are some of the best film ever made (right up there with The Wire for greatest show of all time).

Anyone that hasn't seen it really ought to.

Yep, those poor sea crabs who had been sitting around in it wasting it, while some brilliant man builds something out of nothing but sand, of course he stole it.

He didn't develop it, or produce value out of nothing but sand, he is a thief.

Stolen all the value from those around him who can't make anything out of their life.

It is a perfect metaphor though, building a castle out of sand, for capitalism. It doesn't build anything to last or with an eye for the future, just throw up a cheap prefabricated building based on a template and tear it down when you're done doing whatever you're doing with it.

Capitalism will never build anything enduring like the pyramids, but we can sure make thumb tacks super fast

I tried to get into The Wire, but I literally couldn't finish the first episode. Dexter is where it's at right now, still on season 1 but it's good shit.
