Venezuela was wrongly done, and it's not bernie, nor socialism fault.
Btw for the few i know Exxon is already trying to steal Venezuela of its oil, time to nationalize everything ... (joking)

Socialism (democrat...) is the only way to go for mandkind, capitalism is just leading to destruction...

Just what I wanted.. a broken English buzzword bingo apology tour for socialism without a coherent argument or understanding of events.

Ecuador and Argentina aren't exactly prosperous and free either.
Yes the failings of Venezuela are on socialism. Its a catastrophic failure of socialist policies in action.

Its a case of Bernie valuing idiotic socialist policies and income 'equality' over sound policies, prosperity and liberty for the masses.. and doing so in a despicable manner by insinuating America is the banana republic and claiming the american dream is more likely to be realized in some economically authoritarian poverty-stricken dumpster fire like Venezuela.

Thatcher's classic illustration of socialist scum caring more about the income gap than the actual wealth levels comes to mind.

The Venezuelan government nationalized their oil in 1976. Production has fallen due to state mismanagement.
They had/have the largest proven oil reserves in the world.. yet basic goods are scarce and the economy is in shambles.
'Nationalizing everything' is a recipe for further death and disaster.

The number of poor people in Thatcher's reign has more than doubled, whereas at the same time France was on a reverse curve. That is why its record is so disputed. The British in general have become rich, many have become owners, but the pressure has been accentuated on those left by the roadside, those coal workers, the iron and steel industry, whose factories have closed. Not all were able to retrain in services like finance, which were the new engines of the British economy.

After that you got 20 up to 40% of the population ready to vote for the worst populist candidate and guess what ?

once again: things have to be done moderately... For now i prefer a social democracy with specific subv. on middle & small businesses/enterprises.

According to what measures? and shes been out of office for many years.

France's economic growth has been at a standstill, high unemployment, a fool is actively handling the economy.

The successes or failures of modern UK and France are irrelevant to her observation of these socialists focusing on inequality instead of actual wealth levels.

What record? The widespread success of economic freedom and failures of unfree economies?

Not much is "moderate" about the french government or that commie schmuck you've been cheerleading.

What does your uninformed personal opinion, dubious france claims, or dumb trump memes have to do with bernie favorably comparing those south american countries to America, or the failure of socialism in Venezuela?

- Oh, im not an expert, just read several sources about Tatcher era, and most people agree it has repercussion on inequalities
- France is one of the most equalitarian country anyway, well, we are lazy and happy you know. Few weeks holidays paid is ruining us since 1936.
- I guess bernie was confirming democrat-socialism (even if weak in south america) worked pretty well; at least for the 2 others countries (in your meme)
- Yep banana republic is what is happening when the social differences are becoming too high; power concentration at no-backpoint levels, uninformed people voting...*
