In relation to this Jesus person. I am skeptical that he existed yes, but not to the same degree that he also performed "miracles/magic" as described in the storybook. If you told me some random guy named jesus with no magic powers existed 2000 years ago I don't care if you tell me he resurrected people from the dead, multiplied food, walked on water and cured cancer by waving his hands then we have a problem.

They pay no taxes and receive funding. For example one religious entity callled israel is milking our government for around $3.8 bilion annually to fight their never-ending wars. Because their religious book told them that they are entitled to a specific patch of sand in the middle east. I have no problem if people want to donate privately but not my tax dollars.
The presidents ocasionally will throw around god in their speeches. It should be kept out of any public office, but they don't. It spills out. Imagine if politicians started advertising sponsored adds in their speeches. No religion doesn't belong in the government.
