why should we work as hard as we did before technological advances?

as more technology becomes available, should we continue to work as hard as when before we had computers?

if people didn't have to work to be sustainable would you work anyway?

Imo, that's the logic that has exacerbated the huge class dichotomy nowadays, some exert themselves productively while others waste away in leisure and ignorance

You say that like leisure is a bad thing.

It is the availability of leisure that has driven nearly all intellectual progress throughout history, because people could spend time thinking and experimenting instead of toiling.
