we leave it to the experts, society shouldn't support sick people who have no intention of getting better and do everything they can to make the situation worse

Whoa, whoa, whoa...isn't this the entire debate of the thread though? How are you going to shame people for being fat, for reasons of health, while leaving the designation of "healthy" v. "unhealthy" to experts?

What I mean specifically is that if your family or friend helps you during a tough time - you feel a need to pay them back because you are really grateful that they were there for you.

With the government no one who takes and takes from it feels any obligation to give anything back.

I think this is not really true. There are more than enough people who make enough money to not need "the system", but who still support social democracy because they believe it's the right thing to support. I.e. people who support tax raises even though they're already giving more to the system than they are receiving.

yeah that's not me lol.

I'd rather light my money on fire than give it to the welfare system

doctors have already made their positions clear on obesity being unhealthy

the only people with credentials you'd find that'd oppose this are psychologists

so it looks like this woman is suffering from mental health issues and finds comfort in food
it's great that she feels better about her self but it'd be nice if all the people responding to this weren't lying outright to her face about how beautiful she is given that they'd probably jump out a window if they woke up tomorrow looking like her

overeating because of mental health issues is NOT good, this woman needs medical help and personally i'd think anyone would find the gym to be a much better for mental health than food

Battiste told BuzzFeed News that she has a history of mental health issues and has also been a victim of a sexual assault. “I tried to kill myself and ended up in the hospital,” she said. “I came home a changed person of course, but not in a way that people would think.
“I was more hurt, but I found out I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. I think no matter what you go through, there is always a sunny day, even when it’s raining.”

it's funny that the same group of people who claim doctor's are fat shaming them when they point out the problems with their obesity have no problem going after people who are actually trying to improve their health and putting them down
