Does anyone know what the pre-10/7 Israeli defense apparatus was like in the area that overlaps with the vector/direction of attack on 10/7? I'm wondering how much an impact 10/7 being a holiday had; genuinely ignorant and curious.

Good question. Let's just say this: after Isreal got caught with its pants completely down due to a holiday during the Jom Kippur War, it would be a ridiculous oversight if they allowed something similar to happen again. After this mistake brought Israel on the brink of elimination back in 1973, making the same mistake again seems inexcusable if you ask me.

It makes me wonder if the holiday had any meaningful impact on preparedness or if 10/7 could have happened on any given day and the result would have been the same.

What does Never Again, really mean to the Jewish people of Israel?

Was 10/7 known to Israel in advance?

That's a deep, deep, deep rabbit hole to go down! Every single belligerent event in human history can be theorized as an orchestrated false flag

To apply this conspiracy selectively to the Jewish state, and not every other actor in human history, is what can legitimately be criticized as "antisemitism".

Like said, that's a deep (and imho pointless) rabbit hole to go down. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Israel's intelligence had info that something was in the air, but I highly doubt that they knew about any specific details of the Hamas attack, let alone that they knew and deliberately allowed it to happen.

Modern left is pretty saturated with these type of things of why it's ultimately the Jews own fault. It's one way how they reconcile that a bunch of innocent people lost their lives yet somehow thinking they hold the moral high ground for 'support Palestine'. Something that they overlap with the 'real' far right folks that goose step and think everything bad in the world is some jews pulling strings.

Yep, the Gaza War has really proven the horseshoe theory right.

Is there not a way to question this that doesn't get reduced to suggesting that it's "Israel's fault", because that's not what I'm suggesting by asking.
