If there's some facts that haven't been disclosed to the public that completely changes everything we know about the case. Like evidence of Kyle planning to kill specific people. As far as I can see, it's self defense and Kyle also seemed went to great lengths to avoid the need for self-defense.

You're exactly right. The prosecutions own witnesses are building a case of self defense. From what he's charged with the only things I think they can get him on are the weapons possession and curfew violation.
