The peaceful resolution is something less than what Hamas did to the Israeli concert goers on 10/7.

Which is the "war" we see. I don't believe "true peace" can exist without "total war" so I think people crying/virtual signaling don't understand "human existence" which has perpetually been at war with itself and "others" dating back to the stone age.

I assumed Israel would take the United States approach similar to our reaction after 9/11 but they restrained themselves do to international pressure.

Don't think what Israel has done/will do even comes remotely close to what the US did to the WHOLE of the Middle East so I don't understand what the "fuss" is about.

We starved 500,000 Iraqi men/woman/children and Madeline Albright said it was "worth the cost".

In terms of an "order of magnitude" what the US did to the Middle East is a "10" and what Israel has done to Gaza is a "3".

When we were destroying/toppling/destabilizing the entirety of the Middle East "social media" wasn't what it is today so naturally you didn't hear much of the whining/crying like we see today.

Feel bad for Gazans/Palestinians? Ok take an entire family into your home. Ok go and fight the IDF. Don't cry on the internet "this needs to stop" when we all know the "war machine" never stopped/will never stop.

Not saying you do that more so a generalization of what I've seen so far from the majority.

Turkey wasn’t expelled from NATO when it invaded and took over land of another sovereign NATO member which it continues to hold to this day, so fat chance of that happening now based on some ministers angry comments made most probably for domestic consumption in Israel.

Too important of a regional player to basically bully into submission. You can't conduct effective ME policy and even to a lesser extent Russia containment without Turkey. It's 100% not happening

Erdogan is paying lip service to his islamic powerbase. He is far weaker domestically after the recent elections in Turkey, inflation is rampant and Erdogan has not yet got to grips with it.
Perfect time to have an external boogeyman such as Israel.
Almost identical to Putins/Russias constant need to see the US as an adversary when in reality Russia is not even close to matching the US in almost any metric. Its all great for domestic audience, tyrant playbook 101.
