Corrine Brown sentenced to 5 years in federal prison

TALLAHASSEE — A federal judge in Jacksonville on Monday sentenced former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown to five years in federal prison after she was convicted last May on corruption charges for her role in using a scam charity to bilk donors and use the money for personal expenses, the Florida Times-Union reported.

The 71-year-old disgraced congresswoman’s chief of staff, Ronnie Simmons, got 48 months in prison, while the founder of the charity, One Door for Education President Carla Wiley, received a 21-month sentence for her role.

maybe ~2.5 years with good behavior - just in time to run for the (D) nomination in 2020!

you should read up on the story of the guy who created stub hub (at least i think that was the first big one).

Basically just created a bot to buy out tickets and then resell. Distributors got really pissed as he was fucking with their profits and so they paid a bunch for catchca protection which was new at the time. So the guy built a firm in china where people who don't even speak english sat at computers all day, an image would get sent to them from a catchca, and they'd send back in text what it was. So all day these guys get paid a tiny amount per hour to answer catchcas on behalf of the bot in a language they can't even speak.
