the question now is, is the percentage of those partaking in republican primaries/caucuses high enough to give him the nomination
should that really happen, i would hope that enough americans have enough reason to prevent him from becoming president

...it remains to be seen that if Trump actually does get the nomination will the more rabid segment of his popular support vote for him in the general election...my thinking is that very many of them are using the primary season as an outlet for their frustration with establishment politics but when the general election rolls around they will stay home .

There is plenty need for touchy-feely arguments against Trump because his supporters seem to think that dehumanizing people they don't like is an acceptable practice, even from a presidential candidate. Trump appeals to the most prejudiced and uneducated morons out there because he is giving their beliefs some kind of validity. What's even more disappointing is the supporters who ARE educated and STILL support him. I wonder every day what blinders they are wearing when it comes to believing the shit that crawls out of Trumps' mouth.
