as I said, I dont deny that he wasnt very convincing or coherent when it came to details. but he was consistent about the changes he wants for America. his goals are consistent. the way to achieve these goals - not so much. ;)

i think that's your bias poking through, and a bit of an incomparable situation. when HRC called for changes in some things i'm sure it fell on your deaf ears because it's not what u want. and she went up against too big time change candidates in bernie and trump, so her changes pail in comparison.

but when i hear someone calling for massive sweeping changes i don't get excited even if its along my bias, because i know they'll fail and i hate getting sold whats on the box only to find the real thing sucks. i bought a sham wow, wow what a sham.

if trump only achieves one fourth of his goals, thats already a big change for the better in my book. but thats obviously a question of individual political preference. ;)

a fourth of what goals? proportion requires specifics. that's like my whole point man.

as his only goal was MAGA, making a quarter of america great again could either mean we get 12.5 better states or we get 25% as great as it used to be.

well, I might be biased here, but IMHO the trump campaign made very clear what they stood for: end uncontrolled immigration, end unregulated free trade that benefits billionaires and multinational corporations, but hurts the American middle class, end interventionist foreign policy, end a policy of political correctness and minority pampering that went way overboard. refocus on the core of the American society and rebuild the country, both in a literal and in a figurative sense.

even if trump only gets to act on one fourth of those points, or if he gets to act on most of those points, but cant go as far as he would've liked, that is still a change for the better.

its only change for the better if he doesn't do anything to make it worse simultaneously.

i for one hope that he surprises us all and puts in some hard left policies just so people like you can be left wondering "are we actually better off"?

but who knows maybe the middle of a stream is the best place to change horses

well, when it comes to fiscal and labour policies or healthcare, he's actually far left of the republican mainstream. at the same time, he's very conservative when it comes to things like immigration, political correctness, affirmative action, drug and gang violence and stuff like that.

imho thats the best combination out there.

I'm seriously so sick of hearing about Trump already; he's a fringe candidate who stands no chance at getting the nomination. He's this year's Ron Paul (gets tons of attention on the internet but loses by a landslide).
