Yeah that's what I wanted to see. I consider myself to be decently understanding and forgiving of alternate POVs, and generally when I engage in a discussion with serious intent I try to see that discussion executed properly. I'd be really curious to see if those two things are true about my across my posting history in PaRD.

But I don't post with enough regularity anymore and most of my posts are just shitty jokes because serious conversations are hard and I'm a bad person.

I'm sure I'm guilty of that

They dont need to be nor should be 50:50. The partisan sides are rarely balanced in being well contructed and correct. Sometimes the balance shifts. It was easy to oppose Bush when the invasions had bogus casus belli and obvious pitfalls, when only jingoism propped up the abolition of civil liberties in the patriot act. Obama made the sides more balanced and nuanced as authoritarianism was done efficiently and effectively with the same trangressions on ideals with far less practical costs. But come the age of hillary and trump and a desperate media, the balance of 'wrongs' has shifted that when I crusade against bullshit, disinguity and what dusty so lovingly called intellectual dishonesty, it puts me on the side of the orange buffoon. Thats just how the cookie crumbles in days when politicians, officials and judges from all up and down the system can use trump's name as a justification to step out of the lines of civility, neutrality and impartial rule of law
