Intelligence is the capacity in solving problems. Someone raised in a cave by spiders will have hard time passing his pard exams.

Nobody is saying that environment has no effect.

Someone raised in a cave would be able to pass academically demanding exams if he was given the requisite amount of education. But whether he's innately intelligent or stupid is not influenced by whether he was raised in a cave.
