These cod lobbies have remained like that forever, hell d2 is a prime example of shit talk and insults in game and it's the main thing I did in bmpk and on these forums in its height.
I think education and regulation (video game companies banning people for harassment or slurs) has attempted to stifle it, but it seems to be human behavior in these anonymous and competitive/aggressive situations.
I'd agree. The second you meet someone in person, you talk completely different to them via online compared to how you previously communicated.
We still insist we meet regularly with all business partners and new faces. Board meetings held in person, etc. The tone of the conversation is vastly different in person, and it's forever changed going forward after you meet.
