Hood values are shit for sure, there are plenty of black people who live in the inner city that don't ascribe to those values though. Both my current neighbors are black. Neither are ghetto, don't engage in any crime as far as I know, aren't loud or annoying, etc.

I look at the parents in both of these families and both model that type of good behavior so it's not some grand mystery why their kids aren't ghetto.

I heard on more than one occasion successful blacks saying things "I made it out the hood". They typically say that as a good thing, as in they escaped a bad situation, bad environment.

Well for one I never been to those states. Secondly statistically speaking those country bumkins don't commit anywhere near the level of crime that we see in cities. You put the crime rate of a few cities like Chicago, Philly, NY, together and it completely dwarfs the violent crime rates of all of those other rural places put together.

Idk maybe around where you live you guys have country boys riding around in trucks doing drive-bys but here in the northeast that's not a thing.
