Or use a method of self defense that isn't more likely to hurt you or somebody around you than be used for self defense.

Been over this many times. A gun is usually a last resort.
You crayons need to stop telling people how to defend themselves and which method to use. It's an immutable right.

Every time you feel inclined to tell people if they should or shouldn't use guns I am going to tell you to try my fresh excrement.

Rights are granted by the social contract. A right is an expectation to be treated a certain way and there is none of that outside of the social contract. Being declared an outlaw was literally the worse punishment when it existed, outside of some outlandish torture like being cooked in an iron bull.

There was one execution in Rome where a dude would be put between two little boats, just mashed in there, and tired down, covered in honey and sweet jams and all that, and the bugs would just eat them for weeks while they rotted alive. They were force fed this high nutrient prune juice so they would stay alive longer and shit all over themselves during this drawn out process.

Immutable rights lol. If that happens to you then your rights are pretty muted.

In our social contact we have protections against cruel and unusual punishments, but we carry them out in some states routinely.

Nobody can take away your right to try self defense. You intrinsically have the ability to *try* to defend yourself. However that doesn't mean you have the immutable right to all materials necessary to defend yourself in any way you wish.

Guns are definitely tools for self defense. It just happens that they are poor tools for that job in the hands of the average person.

By far the best and most reliable method of self defense is to retreat. Simply being far away from the threat will be a better defense than any other.

Imagine thinking shooting a couple peices of clay a year is a viable defense for the deaths of tens of thousands of people.

Funny thing is stricter gun laws absolutely have a positive impact on crime and gun accidents. Reference: literally any other country on the planet.

That is only gun crime.
Other types just replace it.
Does it matter how you die in a crime?
Your dead either way.

Change the contract aka the "shall not be infringed" otherwise kindly crawl back to the shadows
