I've been doing some listening and I'm not convinced UBI is going to solve most of our issues. We need to fundamentally change the way we distribute property.

But I'd still vote for it, because even if it's just a stop gap, it'll be a lot better than just continuing the current system until it explodes.

its the only band aid we have for the incoming gaping wound.

redistribution of property is as infeasible as redistribution of wealth. the window for that closed over 200 years ago, if it was ever even open.

some day 300 years in the future people will be living on a corporate space station paying rent to a corporate land lord. the system will never be broken only expanded. humans are nothing but capital to the bourgeoise and that will never change, at least not for imo another 1000 or so years. unless robotic implants make humans worthy of being seen as anything but cattle, but even then you'll just rent your suped up brain to a corporation because its more effective than an algorithm.

Oh, I saw your worthless point. It's just not as good as you'd like to pretend it is, for obvious reasons.

Oh gee, we could give up our guns so we can be more like you? Hard pass.

another swing, another miss. stupidity or dishonesty? probably both.

no one suggested to "give up your guns" because it would magically turn your oligarchy into a healthy democracy, no one suggested to do it just so you could be "more like us". what i'm saying is that the narrative of guns protecting you from an oppressive government is obvious bullshit. what i'm saying is that it's an excuse by low-iq gun nuts who don't have the balls to admit that they simply love playing with guns more than they care about children and innocents getting massacred on a regular basis.

obviously you lack the intellectual honesty and integrity to address that, you prefer replying with straw-men, deflections, and ad homs, but that doesn't change the FACTS of the matter: all your guns did NOTHING to prevent america's descent into an oligarchy, if anything the gun issue facilitated it - you exclusively get the downsides (brutal police force / insane partisan division / tens of thousands of preventable deaths each year / ridiculous crime stats / record prison population - the opposite of "freedom"...).

i think killing baal for drops is a form of lusting to hate or that many call loving haters, definitely worship imo. ;)

easter egg: the reason you can despawn baalwave minions before the torch entrance is because ancient mankind or the " ancients" practiced fire and smoke to subdue possession or evil.
Fire purifies obviously. Fire vs fire moreover, etc.

Rethink your reality. Diablo is a microcosm of the real world.

We've decided as a nation that guns should be everywhere, public schools should be as bad as possible, and healthcare is a privilege for those with money.

That means we're going to get these things pretty regularly.

Don't like it? Vote in politicians who want to actually take our problems seriously or work to fundamentally change the system.

too late. horrible education system and massive propaganda makes americans believe how it's not ideal, but it's still #1 place on earth to live in.

-you can't remove guns anymore, as doing so would make things worse.
-education is tragic as massive population of teachers are doing that job cos they failed in their other dreams. they got no passion and they don't give 2 fucks about what they teach or about kids in the classroom. in comparison, in europe you gotta finish 5 years of university for teachers after your highschool. so if you want to teach history/geography/whatever to 12 year olds, you gotta spend 17-18 years getting educated first.
-healthcare is privatized and it's not working the way european healthcare works in which we pay portion of our taxes to medical system in order to have free medical healthcare. since it will always stay privatized, it will always be unavailable to most. currently, I believe I only pay like €5 a week of taxes towards healthcare system which costs me in a year less than asthma pump in america.

it's too late to make any changes. perhaps if you changed it all today, difference would be more significant 2 generations from now.

I'm more optimistic. We switched from feudalism to capitalism over hundreds of years. Having rights and allowing the commoners to make decisions was once an inconceivable notion since it was believed it would immediately destroy the country. We will switch again eventually. I don't think we will slide back into feudalism but I may be wrong

look who's leading the charge into the future, China. we fucked up by investing in them, we gave them all the tools to replace us, and they will. eventually it wont be a situation where we even have leverage to ask them to change, we'll beg for crumbs. they're going to colonize space first, because we'll squander our head start by demonizing the Elon's of our society, as we're doing now both with space and electric cars. they don't squabble, they mandate and the peasants comply. how long before their neighbors leave western influence? 100 years before japan and south korea have no choice but to fall in line?

we have one chance, entirely divest from china and cut out their legs, but we're too weak. we like cheap plastic doo-dads too much.

Oh I was meaning humanity in general. Not the United States specifically.

Elon is a hype man. He's not the one doing the real work. He basically took neuralink and turned it from a legitimate endeavor by professionals and turned it into a garbage fire.

Which now that I'm more familiar with his history is a pattern. It's just that he's been bailed out so many times he finally succeeded. He didn't found PayPal or significantly impact their business when x.com got acquired. He didn't found Tesla or solar city or SpaceX. He acquired teams that were already engineering the things he wanted and then took credit as the engineers and actually competent businessmen reigned him in and controlled his tendencies to turn everything into a pissing contest.

He's a capitalist born with obscenely rich parents who failed upwards. Nothing special in our current system
