These places having been within the Russian sphere of influence doesn't give Russia an eternal right to rule there. These are sovereign nations who can decide their own fate. If they want to associate with the West and Russia lacks the power to stop them from doing so, then so be it.

I've been sympathetic and understanding of Russian security concerns post-2014, but with this invasion, they've crossed a line. I had a ton of patience with the Russian position, but now my patience with their bullshit has run out.
