Did you even read what I wrote? I said Biden positions himself where his party is. Meaning that he took some outright conservative positions during the 70s through 90s while he now takes increasingly liberal positions, just as his party is lurching ever more to the left since at least 2012.




I did not say that he positions himself in the middle of the ideological spectrum, or in the middle of the American electorate - I said that he positions himself in the middle of his party. And his party is no longer moderate, it has moved significantly to the left on every major issue over the past decade or so, in many cases dramatically. A Democratic politician who's saying the same things about race, gender, migration or economic policies as Obama did in 08 would be considered a racist sexist xenophobic transphobic capitalist pig by the party's present-day base.

People should apologize instead of giving excuses when they are wrong and know they are wrong.

I didn't call the present-day Democrats extreme, I called them leftist. Biden more or less represents the median Democrat, and the median Democrat these days is no longer a moderate.

Yes, and it actually works more against your statement. What is moderate changes over time, and if Biden is specifically positioning himself at the center during that entire time he is by definition the most moderate candidate possible.

So what do you call actively deporting refugees without due process and while they aren't allowed to apply for refugee status while not on American soil? Because that's been both Biden and Trump's policy.
