Elon musk goals like extra planetary travel and colonisation. If you talk with an old vet they will probably tell you we need the Nazis to rally us together to fight a common enemy.
That's why USA was such a big proponent of war. But that was largely unsuccessful due to fragmented conflicts around the world.
No we need a unified vision otherwise there is just going to be more friction.
Becoming educated sort of stops you from being as close minded, which is the hallmark of conservatism alot, this mental rigidity. That is why a basic education is called The Liberal Arts, all the knowledge you need to be a good free citizen.
Educated democracies never go to war with each other. Not one example of this in the information age. It is only the troglodytes who want to divorce America and have half of it being one big red state trailer park. That isn't appealing to anyone else. The Conservatives would just need way too much foreign aide to be a neighbor to their Liberal neighbors.
