conspiracy =/= untrue. it basically means coordinated effort of more than 1 person.

i dont feel threatened, i am laughing at the waste to tax payer money this ineffectual survey will result in.

when i was in college Scott Walker came out against teacher's unions and most of my pot smoking liberal hippy profs cancelled 2 weeks of classes to go an sit in the capital to protest.

the idea that liberal professors will take this survey is absurd, the idea that a majority of underdeveloped kids just trying to find someone to buy them beer will approach it realistically is absurd, and by the end of college most end up liberal enough that the data wouldnt produce results the lawmakers proport it would in any case. look at exit polling of college campuses, they're liberal bastions.

liberals are afraid of guns, conservatives are afraid of campus indoctrination, in reality both are issues, and a survey with a bipartisan board to adjust things for them is a silly approach. voluntary survey based legal action is a joke.

Focus is the student imo. Once you have enough students who lets say are studying in a specific department raise a concern then i bet that liberal professor is going to care as they should care. You're a shitty teacher if you think your job is to force feed something to students without asking yourself how they feel about it.

The biggest opposition i see to this so far is basically teacher unions who basically don't want public satisfactory surveys about them.

Anti-intellectuals shouldn't be able to regulate intellectualism. But this is a group of people who believe the government should be able to regulate human reproduction. They are fascist to the nth degree.

The problem diagnosis by the GOP is spot on, academia has developed a dangerously left-skewed worldview, colleges have turned into indoctrination factories and they are becoming increasingly narrow-minded and ideologically intolerant.
This bill, however, offers a completely misguided, ineffective, dangerous, intolerant and contradictory pseudo-solution to this problem. The battle of ideas has to be won, or fought to a draw, by ideas rather than by bluntly pressuring and silencing the other side.

If the roles were reversed, if it was liberals suggesting to keep lists of the political/ideological affiliation of the student and teaching body, conservatives would freak the fuck out, and rightfully so. You wil not defeat intolerance or fascism by promoting intolerance or fascist tactics.

Highly ignorant to believe all professors are liberal or even a vast majority. Only people who learned about college on fox news believe those lies. Kind of beneath rebuttal. People just making things up about the unknown.

A degree doesn't make you an intellectual, nor is visibility or giving students a platform to express their concerns somehow a threat to intellectualism. Why are "intellectuals" so scared with having their ideas/ways exposed to public scrutiny?

there's a humorous disconnect between the right saying too many people go to college, and that not enough go into the trades. and also pretending as if students are forced to stay at a school, forced to stay in college, forced to stay in a major, or even forced to take a class with a specific prof.

if the student is concerned go to rate my prof websites, and work your way around the crazy lib profs. or drop out and be a plumber and make 100k/year with 1/2 the educational costs.

if ur plan is to focus on the student by trusting data from profs u think harm students, LOL. maybe next we can send out optional surveys to catholic priests asking about molestation to focus on the Acolytes.

It isn't hidden it just takes tuition and half a brain to go. Maybe hidden from all you dumb motherfuckers who can't do it. Like the way a bird nest is hidden in a tree you can't climb.

You can even sack up and earn your way through the GI Bill, but still need half a brain.

In the Republican party a brain is a liability.

education to right wingers is "indoctrination" because the left believes in facts and science. that's one way to "justify" your authoritarian tendencies...

No one is forced to stay at school but if you want a degree in many fields you have to at least somewhat conform, that's just fact. What you highlighted is one of the main reasons why we increasingly see the blue collar working class being pushed towards the right. I don't think I know a single mechanic/tradesman, construction worker that's a democrat tbh.

Rate my professor is mostly for students to evade hard graders, not really the same function that this is trying to accomplish.

We get it, you're bothered that someone might question the ideology you adhere to. Thing is we live in a democracy and most Floridians support DeSantis moves as of late so you're just going to have to deal with it my man.

We're not on the same page.

I do see left bias in academia as an issue, albeit one i think is drastically oversold drawing on examples of liberal arts majors being spoonfed bias confirming information in classes like women's studies and african studies, but it's real. it exists.

my only focus is how ineffectual this measure is. because of how ineffectual this measure is. top to bottom.

it has the same effectiveness as gun buyback programs do in gun control.

We need more conservative gender studies professors and more an-com law professors.

Those precious 18-20 year olds are not mature enough to withstand the gay agenda.
