Here, have a look at the textbook example for a skewed distribution, income:



As you can see, the median income lies significantly below the mean income, meaning that more than 50% of households have a "below average" income.
You still have not provided a substantive argument as to why a similarly skewed distribution should be impossible for female rating of male attractiveness. And no, the fact that men rate female attractiveness on a bell curve does not mean that women should or must do the same.

Let's shift the discussion back to something more productive: the bias introduced in dating apps by the lopsided gender ratio. It's basically Economics 101 that a huge excess demand leads to a spike in price.

That's exactly what happens on dating platforms: you have something like 3-10 men who are genuinely looking for a partner or a hookup for every real women doing the same. (Once we exclude the army of bots or non-active members who last logged in 5 years ago...)
Of course such an environment will lead to the girls raising their expectations and checklists - first because they can get away with it, and second because it's their only chance to not get overrun with low effort pms.

Dating apps worked better in 2017 before there was a swipe system. You would actually have to message women.

Men would message women based on their level of continued effort and the average woman would have to wade through an ocean of thousands of messages... but the system still worked better than swiping which just leaves the bottom 60% of men completely invisible and the majority of women becoming alpha widows.


But your argument is still wrong because women are still overrating themselves. Its NOT POSSIBLE to have 80% of men below average. Men rate 50% of women below average. Its not reconcilable.

It doesn't reconcile why men have a perfect normal distribution.

i agree on all the main issues, downfall of the traditional family, aggressive feminism, average women having 5 page checklists for men, lots of people being unhappy (both genders), unbalanced dating market especially in the anglo american world etc.

but if you are a halfway solid guy its literally the best time to be alive

you can get more women than your ancestors did in multiple lifetimes by touching the display of a smartphone with no strings attached

Because it's an absolute scale, not a relative scale, and women value visuals less than men. This results in a centered plot for men, and a negatively skewed plot for women. This is exactly what we would expect.
