Unfortunately, sacrificing one person to atone for the crimes of the State never prevented riots in Soviet Russia, or China, or Venezuela, or anywhere else. It was the willingness to suppress riots with the utilization of maximum force that suppressed riots.

It's not "Soviet thinking," it's just blunt. We do similar calculations every single day and no one bats an eye. I 100% guarantee that if a bunch of black people were outside your home, you'd sacrifice Chauvin for significantly less (probably 40 grand).
