As opposed to fear mongering and no solution, what a shock. Anything involving any slight change will lead to the downfall of the nation, so let's just stand here jerking off as the country goes up in flames, since doing absolutely nothing and acting superior is a MUCH better alternative.

As always, even the mention of change is enough to bring a Republican to arms, even when it's attempting to discuss a change or ask for opinions on a system that's irrevocably broken. Welcome to the United States boys and girls.

Don't bother with a response, I've spent long enough slumming with the shit sippers of PARD. Good day.

Where is the fear mongering? I only pointed out that your idea of extending powers has been condemned by the very body in whom you propose to extend those powers to. If anything you’re fear mongering when you say such a radical change is necessary.

Allowing the democratic process to work is not “doing nothing”.

Also, and for the record, I’m not a republican, I’m a centrist. A centrist is a type of person that neither republicans nor democrats can accept the existence of, because that would require them to admit that there are not only two possible viewpoints in the world. I believe in reason and compromise above all else, which makes my viewpoint as inconsistent with yours as with the average republican’s. You’re all fucking nuts.

Are you too stupid to understand the weight of your own comments? You implied heavily, and now you're outright saying it, that Biden was a worse candidate who only won through manipulation, hence Trump was a superior candidate... I know that cause and effect, process of elimination, or even arithmetic is clearly outside your grasp, but holy shit Batman.

No need to attack me.
You continue to add your preconceived notions to a vague (somewhat sarcastic) statement I made.
I understand why you would come to that conclusion, but that doesn't mean it's the only possible implications that could be made.
I wasn't any more specific for a reason, and why I even included the "non trump supporter" comment. Things are not black & white. Republican or Democrat. Trump or Biden.
Hypothetically; the better candidate could have won only by cheating. Exploring and discussing the cheating does not mean I believe the cheater is a worse cantidate for the position. Sure he would be a dishonest cheater, but he might also have the right policies to make the world a better place haha.
You yourself were discussing the fact that twisted information & lies were being fed to people.

I know it's difficult to see things from outside your POV, but that does not mean everyone else is stupid lol.. especially when you're the one failing to comprehend

Basically you don't stand by your comments and I'm wrong to expect that you should at least understand the implication of your own words?

The only one here who has continually missed the mark is you. I asked you to enlighten us on what twisted realities were presented, or what was being ignored that makes Biden a worse alternative than his opponent, to which you dodged. Again, I have openly stated that Biden is a piece of shit party puppet, who I dislike and distrust greatly, but he's still substantially better than a man who abused his position for personal and political gain since day 1. This is common sense, something that's lacking to a great degree in this world.

Saying that we should fix broken things means you're an extremist who wants to destroy the country (according to self proclaimed centrist with ultra-rightwing views)
Disagreeing with the almighty Trump makes you a libtard
And not buying into every wild conspiracy pitched by the opposition makes you blind.

This is the state of politics in the United States. I asked to expand on your original idiocies, and you failed to do so, so I started insulting you. That's what I do to everyone who blindly praises one side while insulting the other, whether it's left or right.

E: It's the same reason I insult anyone who blindly claims Obama was the best President, or anyone who says Clinton was great for the black community. On the reverse, it's the same reason ill insult someone who claims the most politically divisive and destructive leader in American history helped advanced bipartisanship, because it's as laughable and stupid as the other two fantasies presented.

blah blah blah.

Ummmm okay, obviously you can't read.
Like I said.... I do understand your POV on the implications of my words, and how & why you came to that conclusion. Yet you only want to look at the implications that support your POV. It's fine if you can't accept that lol and we can move on. I am also doing the same, as it was my statement haha.

You were the one to begin talking about "painfully wrong news". That is what I commented on. I'm not sure why you're so against it once someone suggest the left could have benefited from it as well.

But I don't recall you asking me to "enlighten or expand" upon that. You simply made sarcastic comments on the laptop/dementia/pedophilia. It sounded rhetorical to me, so I moved on. So I'm not sure what I "dodged".

But since you mentioned the laptop, we can start there... Ignore the fact if it is related/true/false/etc to Joe Biden. But is it not true that many media outlets decided not to discuss it until after the election? For fear it could reflect poorly on Joe Biden (again, regardless if fake/true/lies/related/whatever). I doubt they would give Trump that opportunity (whether rightfully so or not). They did begin covering it only AFTER voting took place.

Now, do you honestly think that is not a dangerous practice when it comes to people and positions of power? For either side, Left or Right, Trump, Biden, Whoever....

I think we can all agree that anyone controlling the flow of information is a dangerous thing, and just leave it at that.
But I'm not sure why you want to keep discussing Biden > Trump. I really don't care who is better, and don't like either for a President. Which I think we're all in agreement on. I prefer to make my judgements on specific policies / speeches / whatever.

Comparing Hitler to Trump is comic hyperbole. I don't think many people get triggered by it, it's an incredibly stupid take.

I don't get why?
Yes hitler eventually went insane and killed a lot of people, before that he was a braggard, a liar and self important, he very much can be compared to trump.
They have a lot in common, propaganda, cult of personality, targeting of minority groups, victim complex, nationalism etc.

Hitler didn’t “eventually go insane and kill a lot of people” he started his political career with violence, the more power he got the more violence he committed... Hitler personally took part in street battles against his political enemies in the early 20s and was known for his ability to recruit members that were willing to use violence to promote the party’s goals. In 1932, still a year before he was named chancellor Hitler’s SA was taking part in literally hundreds of street battles every month and was responsible for up to 1000 politically motivated deaths that year. The night of the long knives, as someone brought up earlier, didn’t happen “eventually” it happened as soon as Hitler had the power to order such a massacre, and he already had all of the prominent Nazis in place that he needed for planning and implementation of such a massacre. This includes Goring, Himmler, Heydrich and Goebbels.

So, no, Donald Trump’s political career is not similar to a guy who was already responsible for hundreds to thousands of politically motivated deaths before he took office and millions more afterwards. It’s a fuckin stupid thing to say.

That’s probably true, but who among us could say that we wouldn’t have rosie odonnel murdered if it were more acceptable

I can't even fathom how people can be proud of being this totally clueless, but good for you Superman, and what a hilariously ironic name.

With personalized and often times painfully wrong news being mainlined into the veins of every America who wants it (look at people like ^superman for additional reference), politicians are forced now more than ever to pander to the idiotic whims of the masses, versus doing what's best for the country. As I said in my first post, there was never a chance of anything happening to Trump, since there aren't nearly enough honest Republicans.

This level of toxicity is new and I truly hope that eventually they'll remove this power from congress/house, since they've show themselves too incompetent to be trusted time and time again. The Supreme Court wouldn't be a bad idea, since them keeping their jobs isn't reliant on people like ^superman, again, someone who clearly can't think for themselves.

Comparing Trump to Hitler doesn't work because he's on the wrong side of the tyranny spectrum.

What are the top 5 words come to mind when you think of Tyranny?

Communism (Basically far-left tyranny: A political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and need.) <-- This is all I've heard for the last 13 years and it's been getting way worse.
Fascism (Basically far-right tyranny: An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.) <-- This hasn't been happening much at all because we still have a two party system that lean's far left more and more. When it does happen, it gets routed and outed.
Censorship (The suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are "considered" obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.) <-- We (and I don't mean we the people) don't like what you said on social media even though you are free to believe what you want. Permabanned because you can only believe what we, big tech (an auxiliary form of government), "consider" acceptable.
Oppression (No opportunity for you! Your Dad was a blacksmith, so you are a blacksmith, and so is your son.) <-- Trump shouldn't be allowed to run for for a second term because I don't like him. (Well, then don't vote for him.)
Imbalance (It's typically a single-party system). <-- One of the main arguments I've heard lately is that we could get more work done if democrats controlled all three branches of government. A step towards tyranny.

What are the top 5 words come to mind when you think of Democracy?

Freedom (The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.) <-- Every time I open my mouth lately.
Liberty (The ability to exercise ones freedom without restriction while within the confines of the law.) <-- There's been a massive erosion to liberty happening here. Many people are exercising anarchy outside the confines of the law. <-- Setting a car that doesn't belong to you on fire and getting away with it.
Justice (A fair system of laws that judges and punishes people.) <-- This needs to be properly enforced — it is not. For example, multiple DA's refused to bring cases against those people that burned a car that didn't belong to them.
Opportunity (It's possible for everyone get's their chance.) <-- For the most part, this is still true. <-- If I was a felon, that would be my own fault.
Balance (It's typically a multi-party system.) <-- All three branches of government consist of multiple parties (main two parties) to keep each other in check. A step away from tyranny (You do not want all three branches of government to be completely controlled by the right or the left because it allows the the possibility of tyranny to form in the first place).

That being said, the only tyranny I see has been coming strong from the left.
