I think I lean towards the Dem plan over the GOP plan. I'd prefer smaller, targeted checks but I understand the desire to stick to a campaign promise. I also don't support a minimum wage increase in this particular bill but that's something I won't ever support.

Overall, given how far apart the two parties are, the Dems should pass their own plan with very little compromise.

i fully support a 15$ min wage. those workers deserve that money for the 6 months it lasts and then they'll be replaced by a robot that wont forget my fucking pickles.

Other countries have an equal or higher wage for similar workers. The fear of low level automation is overblown. General purpose robots are still 10 or more years away and when they do come they will out almost everybody iut of work at every level.
