That’s not even an argument I’m making really. At least not the main one. Fact is, there is actual content those people can and do consume. This movie doesn’t really have anything for them.
And yes, this movie is related broadly to repressive conservative culture vs liberal democratic society with a goal of equality. The fact that it’s mostly men who have an issue with the movie is pretty telling. It’s all about controlling females and policing what they do. Hip hop dancing and fashion decisions may offend your weak sensibilities, likely because you feel aroused and feel hatred at yourself which you then direct externally (usually at women), but they aren’t yours to control. Girls being suspended for wearing a tank top to school and other pointless “dress code violations” because they “are distracting to the boys,” or angry school administrators yelling at kids hip hop dancing at the Prom (or dancing like that evil satanic sexy dancing Elvis - this shit’s been going on a longtime) are examples of social repression targeting women. This movie broadly addresses that. Again, I think that’s why women see it very different from men (who seem to have very big opinions and want to be heard and gain control over the situation without having even watched it).
You basically said "there's sexualization of minors more extreme in mainstream culture so this particular example isn't offensive". Not a great argument.
Your framing of what's going on is interesting... almost like I called it back on Page 1:

I watched the preview video and read descriptions of some of the sexualization that happens. Not going to watch the film. Cancelled Netflix... though to be fair I didn't use it much.
Seems to me that sexualizing children in this way is perhaps a rung on the cultural ladder that the left will get to one day. After all, why should liberation only start at 18? Religious conservatism will look more and more appealing to normal people in the future.
Apparently the only men turned off by this sort of sexualization of children are the ones who are secretly turned on by it! We're just trying to control females by expressing our disgust at 11 year olds discussing blowjobs and shaking their ass in front of a camera.
You live in a bubble inhabited by the cultural left. Don't generalize about what women think based on your narrow viewpoint. Where I live, the vast majority of women rightly look at this film as gross.
