Police brutality, excessive unwarranted searches, and disproportionate sentences in court.

What is your reason for asking?

What's your evidence of this occurring in disproportionate numbers in similar situations (crime incidents/crime details, criminal backgrounds/repeat offenders - which can extend prison sentences) involving people of a different race in comparison to blacks?

I'm just curious. I see people throw out these statements so I'm assuming they have clear evidence of it occurring.

Ah, the good old "post proof or shut up" deflection.

I am making a couple of forum posts to pass time during my lunch break; and am not interested in proving the obvious towards someone who will probably cherry-pick something in the provided evidence to make it seem wrong. I'm not saying that I know you personally to do that, but I guess you are aware that this is just how it goes on the Internet.

We both have no obligation to talk to each other, so if you are interested in convincing people that black people are not being oppressed, feel free to go and spread the word. I'm not interested in that topic because I find it pointless.

Proving the obvious?
So it's so obvious but you can't provide clear evidence of it?



^ It's pretty simple. If a person is throwing out statements, I just want to better understand how they're coming to that conclusion.

-I'm not even saying its never occurred, I know of some occasions where that has occurred on a wider level - in regards to searches (New York - Stop and Frisk), however, to my knowledge there's no current scenarios?

Go to community college and take intro classes to any of the following fields: criminal justice, education, sociology, economics, labor relations, american or world history, business administration, social work, anthropology, finance.....

You cannot talk about any topic without touching racism unless you really ignore it and go out of your way to avoid it. I bet you went to a mostly white suburban school and they probably talked a little about slavery during Feburary.

I think it is crazy that people like you are able to graduate high school without learning about jim crow, red lining, banking, lynchings, Tulsa race riots where the developing black middle class was destroyed in that city by angry, uneducated whites. Texas Board of Education has really fucked this country up creating people who don't know jack about their world. You have to come to a video game forum to learn about racism is one reason I support Common Core.




It is a matter of education sir. A lot of Americans don't know much about America. Some Americans are very sheltered.

You don't want to understand intergenerational wealth, not being able to own property, a police targetting disproportionately, etc.

We are living in this historical situation. What about not being able to build generational wealth is hard to understand? A police force who targets you rather than protects.

You just have to be less egocentric and its obvious.




Large amounts of white Americans literally can't say that black lives matter. That is their biggest problem in the United States.

Generational wealth? So all whites accumulate generational wealth? My parents did not have much and inherited nothing and they managed to provide for me and my siblings. That's a pretty common situation. The data I've heard is that very very few people of any race inherited more than 100k. What was it like a small percent that received that even.
