I live 30 minutes from the border. Every single county bordering NY has minimal cases. We are all actually going into the 'Green' phase this Friday. Sure, maybe he mishandled it. But that doesn't mean Trump handled it better because some governors handled it poorly. And that doesn't mean we are seeing the full extent even in states that seem to be doing well. There's a lot of unknown unknowns and we won't know the full extent for several years.

The amount of silence would have been the same regardless who was president. No one does themselves any political favors by stirring up that hornet's nest. That would just piss off everyone they are trying to work with to further their agenda.
