Guys....Bernie Sanders isn't even a Democrat....why wouldn't the DNC support a Democrat vs. A non Democrat?
You guys who think this is a big deal just don't get it.
It is amazing they treated him like an equal and let him participate in Democrat events.
I've been a Sanders supporters before any of you Trump guys ever heard of him...This isn't surprising. Sanders is an independent...and the Dems let him play.
Doesn't matter. The DNC must remain neutral. They didn't follow the rules. The DNC supported Hillary the whole time and was actively trying to undermine Sanders. They aren't supposed to do that.
It's not healthy for a democracy, and I don't think you should try and justify why they did what they did. Even supporters of Hillary should be upset that the DNC did this, but I don't think anyone cares or respects process or principle anymore unless it negatively affects them or their candidate.
Like I said in my previous post, people who made fun of Bernie supporters for saying the nomination process was rigged in Hillary's can promptly eat some crow now. We have the proof.
I don't think it changed the end result of the nomination, but that doesn't matter. It's the principle of the thing; the DNC broke their rules of neutrality and actively tried to undermine an ongoing democratic process. It's absoultely abhorrent that a major political party so openly did this, and we should do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again.
If we accept this level of corruption as normal, it will become our new normal. We should not accept these violations, regardless of who it was for or against and regardless of whether it changed the end result or not. The democratic process is a valuable thing to protect. It's bad enough the political parties have as much influence and control over the democratic process that they already do, let's not give them any more power to choose the nominee than they currently have.
