Sounds super democratic, Democrats.

Yep. At worst they undermine democracy. At best they are irrelevant. Not the best place to be for a major party...

...superdelegates were introduced by the Democrats to prevent another election disaster following George McGovern .

You're not telling me something I didn't already know. What I didn't know is that many of the superdelegates aren't Democrats in the first place, but instead paid lobbyists.

Were ever paid lobbyists*

A political party letting its movers and shakers be part of putting forth a candidate is a pretty good idea, and most movers and shakers go through lobbying on their way elsewhere. Hell, I'd be surprised if the republicans don't want to implement something similar after this cycle. :P

After looking up a few other sources it appears you're right about him being short of market pace, still I've read others that put him closer to market pace.

regardless i don't think that under/over market pace should be the under/over for a successful businessman. Trump is a successful businessman, can we at least agree on that?

Nah. I think he's a mediocre businessman who tried and failed in real estate and has only really managed to make any money because he has a decent ability to manipulate the media into giving him coverage so that he can make money on his name instead of having to actually invest or create anything, tbeh.

We really ought to move this to the trump thread tho, as Patton wisely pointed out.

ok ill take that, as long as you're not continuing with the "trump is actually a terrible businessman" shtick. He's a piece of shit, no need to downplay his accomplishments when we have a library of real problems to address with him.

Agreed, that's as far as I'll take it. He's managed not to completely butcher a fortune while helping to add to it by being a Kardashian without the dignified stoicism.
