...for those of us who are football fans I am curious as to how the NFL will commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11 since it coincides with opening day Sunday . I hope the solemnity of the occasion will remind us that the outcomes of the games are not the be all and end all of our existence .

Unfortunately, knowing the NFL, they'll almost certainly turn it into an opportunity for jingoism. Either that or they'll not sell beer for a day to--Oh...nevermind...

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying these things if one of your friends or family members were one of the 3,000 casualties from the hands of the terrorists.

Instead you would be mourning the loss of your loved ones and wanting to get revenge on the terrorists.
