Check the link above.

The first isn't a metaphor, of course.  It states simply that God had already created the Heaven and the Earth before the story began.  The story itself takes place on the surface of the waters.

God made two great lights far before he created the Earth, as well as the stars, and they are revealed to the surface of the Earth when God takes off the cloud layer, like a magician pulling away the curtain to reveal his awesome trick.

Seems to me that God created light and darkness on the second day, and created the sun and moon on the fourth day. O_O

You're not reading it carefully enough, because God created the whole shebang in Genesis 1:1, before he started in on the other 'days' - themselves only metaphors for aeons, ofc.

People here probably do it elsewhere too, I'd imagine.

rationalizations aren't logical justifications?

1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

1:16 - And god made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.

I think your metaphor is incorrect, and I don't think he created the whole shebang in 1:1.

They usually end up having a fallacy or two lodged in there that is intentionally ignored by the rationalizer.

1:16 has no time frame in it, and is simply further clarification to 1:1, ofc.

You really should just check out that link that I posted above. And then you should come to the realization that atttempting to disprove -any- religion is somewhat akin to putting a wedding ring around the neck of a greased pig.

It is simplified and listed in order at the very start. I will not type it out for you because there is no point.
