Curious, what exactly is the objective for Israel in Gaza anyway? People just see the 25,000+ women and children killed and we're just wondering when exactly is this "done"
The objective is destroy Hamas and free the hostages.
So far they have accomplished neither.
I actually support those objectives but the strategy in my opinion only, has been dreadful.
The IDF to my understanding is around 150k potentially far more when needed.
Hamas is upto 50k fighters.
They've moved 2 million people from Gaza to Khan Younis, from Khan Younis to Rafah, from Rafah back to Khan Younis.
It's becoming a farse and akin to a death march through the desert.
The US has paused a shipment of high calibre bombs, essentially. That is all they've done. According to some this is a betrayal if Israel.
Which is laughable. Using this as an excuse for failing to free the hostages is a shame to hear. Its been 7 months already. This is not Iraq or Afghanistan this is 50 square miles of land.
They've been saying that Israel should not storm Rafah with 1.5million civilians still inside. Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and Netanyahu refused it.
So it's understandable Biden and others would begin to question the Israeli PMs intention and ability to complete the objectives he himself set.
Allies can and do disagree with each other strategy. The unappreciative tone from some is misplaced imo.
