The US has not betrayed Israel.

Netanyahu has chosen his own political survival and potentially avoiding criminal prosecution, by bowing to the far right psychopaths in his coalition goverment.
The war has gone on long enough with US and others support. In my opinion the IDF under Netanyahus leadership have failed in its objectives.

The patience of allies just ran out.

And I supported destroying Hamas. But it should have been done by now.

The US betrayed Israel when it forced us to provide aid to enemy population, when it stop us from going into hospitals, when it stopped us from finishing Hamas its like they want Hamas to stay.

Biden think he did the right thing but let me tell you right now he already lost the elections after these poor decisions

the answer is pretty simple, an error of goals. the top brass's goal to secure the entire area of Gaza was a terrible plan all along. you're country is making the same mistake we made in both Iraq and Afghanistan, just on a smaller scale. and at the same time it's worse because you can't blitz in, you have to jump right to the phase of the war where we became entrenched in Kabul or Bagdad. both a terrible task.

you never should have pushed further than 10 miles into northern gaza. all that should have been done is great a DMZ 1 mile wide after securing further in, install sensors to prevent more tunnels, and bolster the rocket defenses.

instead you're looking at a years long war, a decade long occupation, and babysitting an entire area that's now destroyed you have to rebuild while facing terrible attacks. all to "destroy tunnels" that can be rebuilt in a month or two. its sad, but true.

What we should have done was close the borders and force them to surrender or die.

Only its not genocide there is no intention to kill them all just to force them to surrender.
So you can twist as much as you want it wont make it genocide.

It might be a war crime if conducted in certain ways but not genocide.

so a coherent argument is when you say something like “the war ran for to long”
The war will ran as long as its needed there is no time frame.
And if you ask me a complete siege is the only way to prevent more life loss, 14 days from now they surrender and accept what ever we impose on them.
