The GOP is alright on criminal Justice reform. I think a lot of this has to do with who is abusing opiates now vs who was abusing crack before they softened on the criminal Justice.

so Trumps award from the black bipartisan criminal justice reform group is going to be presented at the forum over the next 3 days, where every democratic presidential candidate is scheduled to speak and a straw poll will be conducted
after the announcement that the bipartisan group is awarding Trump the top honor, Kamala Harris has withdrawn from the conference and will not be speaking tomorrow as scheduled
we're about to see if every other democrat starts bailing or just her.

afaik every other candidate is still scheduled- Biden, Klobuchar, Buttigieg, Booker, Warren, Sanders, etc etc etc- they have the whole list even the nobodies.
Harris was scheduled for 2-3 PM speaking slot tomorrow, between Buttigieg and Sanders

I think this is a really interesting dilemma for the Democrats in the future to come. How do you maintain the 'Republicans racist' narrative when you get more defectors?

Also the more they move left on social issues the more likely a lot of strong social conservative immigrants and minorities will abandon them. I could see huge swaths of Latinos and Blacks defecting imo.
