sending your address to people who are upset they lost their jobs

i usually have to walk passed them and converse with them when i do factory trips for measurements, job overviews, or installs. It's painful.

only once have i had to walk through a picket line though, that was scary.

Apparently Chuck Schumer sent Mitch McConnell the exact same letter that Mitch sent to Harry Reid in 2009, he just crossed out the names. Lmao. Mitch doesn't even try to hide that he is a hypocrite.

This is gold. TBH with how much the GOP tried to obstruct Obama and how much the DNC is trying to obstruct Trump now we'll see this type of thing play out for 4-8 years.

do they know who you are? surprised you haven't been lynched

as for the obstruction stuff, the dems lost hard and republicans have free reign now don't they? i place the blame for this turn of events at the feet of liberals who stayed at home on election night and hope republicans don't hold back over the next few years, should teach them a valuable lesson on political apathy

they often know who i am. as soon as they hear from a conveyor company they see my as the boogey man.

the GOP controls all 3 branches of government pretty much. It will come down to how much GOP in congress want to play ball and what % are still playing never trump games. Honestly Trump's prediction of across the aisle negotiation may be accurate in situations he didn't mean, obstructionist GOP and DNC members getting together. Then again if his infrastructure package is as big as it's been billed to be most of those in congress will see hundreds of thousands of jobs in their electorate and ride the wave of popularity. And we have to consider the fact that he doesn't have a mandate, so many congressmen could see the over 50% of people anti trump in their district and get scared if they are up for reelection in 2018. Many will have their records thrown in their face one way or another in 2018, either GOP who went along with policies that prove to be bad or DNC who tried to stop successful policies, and there will be a combination of both.

if your opinion is that these jobs are coming back long term and this is a good thing you're mistaken. I understand though, you know nothing about automation nor the timelines involved. If Chrysler hires 10,000 45 year olds today for these jobs i'd bet not even 5% will have their positions carry to retirement.

but hey, i guess making people feel good for a while in a bubble while they're unprepared for the future is nice.

i fully expect this move by trump, that being the speeding up of full automation in america by a threat of taxation at the border, to be seen as one of the major flubs of our turn of the century history given perspective. A strong president is needed to convince the nation to look to the future to fill positions that don't exist yet, instead we have a pandering man baby who couldn't negotiate anything except for membaberries.

but hey, i'll likely make millions more over my lifetime as a result, its just a bit sad when i see people getting hope that i'll be putting out of a job within 10 years that could have instead gotten into another industry and prepared their children to do the same.

"we’ll make the robots too" -President-elect Trump
in the meantime i understand though - you look down on Americans that are working jobs you consider "unworthy, outdated, and only for stupid old people" and that are given a hand up not a hand out.  typical sjw liberal mentality   xD :) ;) :D
did you spit on the ground in front of those in the picket line after insulting them too?

if you ever want to have an actual conversation about how this not only doesn't prevent the loss of jobs but actually speeds it up LMK. you're just going to need to do a lot of research to clear up the ignorance and get on my level. Taking a look at the balance between active jobs and R&D in my industry would be a good place to start.

but you're going to need to drop the emotional appeal, i'm not speaking at all in those terms just actual facts and data based on an industry i literally track in real time with future projections. My CFO is the most liberal person i've ever met, and he's professionally the biggest Trump supporter there is. He just made us millions-billions and created a whole new class of perpetually unemployed workers, you just don't realize it yet because you're too focused on headlines to see the writing on the actual wall.

the day Trump announced his plans to tax the border a whole line of our catalog wen't from barely feasible to preferable in an instant, but i guess it's nice that a few humans get off the food stamp line while i'm designing their replacement instead of going to tech college to learn an actual transferable skill.

if have good reason to keep up the rhetoric when you're making an ironic SJW argument. rather than adopting the minority population to protect you guy just grabbed the working class. at this point i have to assume you're investing big in robotics and are spreading propaganda that you know will make your gains bigger, because no one could be this willfully ignorant that isn't literally invested on the factory line for 40+ hours a week.

but since you're a numbers guy let me make is simple. most companies in my industry run on a near zero R&D budget, we tend to undersell jobs at a loss instead because it make for a better bottom line. then if it profits its a home run but if it loses it's just loss mitigation. currently i have about a 10% projection for R&D projects in 2017 with more the next year, up from 1% last year (which i didn't meet). This is because the current trend of moving labor back stateside isn't sustainable, so as an industry we're actually speeding up our progress technologically. Which means that instead of 1 job going to mexico when its no longer feasible in that specific company's budget now all similar jobs across the whole nation are affected. Because where there wasn't the tech available at a pricepoint before there is now tech available. The advancement in the next 10 years will surpass the 50 years before it, Trump just majorly sped up the demise of labor in the name if it's interest.

Big Orange Baby spitting his dummy out again and flailing wildly at award winning actress Meryl Streep.

It's funny. But it's also worrying. Should someone this thin skinned really have access to nuclear weapons? What if someone insults his mother?
