Global warming should increase conflict in the region. We're talking about a region in which the habitable and fertile pieces of land are barely enough to sustain the current population, and then you have rapid population growth on top. This alone makes the ME a powder keg. If the habitable land decreases as the cherry on the top, I really don't see how large-scale hostilities, probably an all-out war, can be avoided. In any case, it will ratchet up tensions, rather than spur closer cooperation.

my leading theory is he's a chatbot who's overarching programming is "israel must always be wrong".
