You guys really shouldnt glorify Romney for this vote as if he was a paragon of integrity, principle and virtue. He hates Trump with every fiber of his body, and this was his big opportunity to stick it to him, plain and simple.
I don't see how this works. Someone with integrity, principle, and virtue would naturally oppose Trump early on in the campaign, for obvious reasons. So you characterize that opposition as hatred, and when yet again Romney faces the mob and follows his principles, you pretend otherwise.
It's circular logic. Nobody who has opposed Trump before can do so now in good faith.
