How does trash like this go viral. Let me get this straight. Boyfriend says her actions were disgusting. She disagreed and broke up, and somehow that's viral news.
More than that what normal person feels the need to inform the world that someone called her actions disgusting.
OH CHRIST. i was on a different site than yahoo and saw a story of a girl getting applauded for weight loss after a break up. then saw this title on yahoo and copy/pasta's it here. didn't even realize that story was not the one i first saw, and had nothing to do with weight loss or body shaming. o well, at least article is still so bad that it belongs here even without the body shaming shit.
as to the "how does this go viral" bit, and off topic, yahoo and other rags write "stories" the day after Reddit posts go viral. They somehow drag 5 paragraphs out of stuff like a 3 second gif of a cat knocking over a glass of water. Block quotes of funny comments people made so they don't need to actually do any thinking. Usually with a title like "________, and the internet couldn't handle it". So basically it "goes viral" from people upvoting it or retweeting it, then yahoo or some other shit heap makes a whole article about it a day or even a week after everyone already saw it. ok rant over
