The Iranian strike proved that Iranian missles have the ability to pierce israels air defenses. So in order for israel to regain its "don't fuck with us status" they need to prove to the muslim world that not only can they destroy these launch sites with impunity but also destroy all s300/400 with its airforce

Israel's response was so weak that I believe it would have been better if it never went through with it. I could see it being a strike to make Iran think that its over, with a more significant strike coming later

I was asked privately as to what happened with Fender. Below is my understanding. If someone has more information, feel free to post it. without further ado:

1. On the 7th of November, active moderation was temporarily applied to this thread. Dizzybusiness was correctly moderated for making a (very) tasteless joke (#4902)
2. user: Meanwhile, was then sanctioned for querying (correctly) why Dizzybusiness was sanctioned for his tasteless joke when another user, El1te, who had made a highly inappropriate statement (#2467) was not. However, moderation appears to be have been applied retroactively, in that, after Meanwhile made his point, a moderator viewed El1te's historic post, and (correctly) sanctioned it. In then quoting the offensive material (which was not previously sanctioned) this sanctioned Meanwhile. Much in the same way Meanwhile warned me not to quote Fender's sanctioned post. However, my argument remains, that Fender's post was not inappropriate. so far so good.
3. user: Many_names then referred to Palestinians as animals (#5064) and when Fender (admittedly, provocatively) challenged him on his position, Fender was sanctioned (#5065). Fender then supplied supporting information which validated the points for which he was sanctioned (#5067, #5071). Fundamentally, Fender was casting doubt on the character of Many_names, which was associated with the number of children killed by Israel in the conflict and Many_names regard/view of civilian palestinians. This, i presume, was considered a personal attack against Many_names, for which Fender was repeatedly sanctioned. The fact that what Fender had said was true (i.e. that Many_names continues to defend the policies adopted against Gaza and the resulting death toll among the children of gaza) is not irrelevant. again, this is also so far so good.
4. user: Bananii was then sanctioned (#5175) for a similar reason - you cannot collectively target Israeli's (or any nation / religion for that matter). again so far so good.
5. user: Fender was then sanctioned again (#5182) for calling Many_names out for being r..... understand i cant say either r word as this as I understand it is the reason for the post being sanctioned (even if it was a true statement, supported by evidence, littered throughout the thread). At this point it looks like Fender was banned from PARD for this exchange with Many_names. I spoke to him briefly after this and he was quite bitter (He and I never got on, but I could find little fault in his posts in this topic). He stopped posting on d2jsp in January of this year. RIP.

Moving on...

6. user: gnarjay was then sanctioned for telling someone to grow up. (he used the F word in there, which would be construed as a personal attack)(#5283). Then Meanwhile was sanctioned for calling out bullshit (#5404). I guess his colorful use of language (another F word) was the problem. I say bullshit as there is ample evidence to support the claim that Israel continues to steal more land in the West Bank.

This was the end for this spate of moderation.

The TLDR here is: if posts are reported, they will be viewed by a moderator. While there will be a degree of favoritism, provided users do not directly attack other users, or collectively brand Israeli's for the actions of their government, its fine. I'll make a point now of reporting all such racist posts. I will also state the reason for the report after reporting it. I recommend and commend other users to do the same. PARD does not need to be a s***hole.
