Nice dodge. And no, I never believed the fantasies about an uprising by Russians to overthrow Putin. Just like I was very cautious when "Putin has terminal cancer" was the story of the week. That being said, Putin really did look very sickly back then. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he indeed suffered from a severe illness back then, but his doctors were able to treat it and he recovered. And for the record: if Putin died today, chances are excessively high that his successor would be a nationalist hardliner and the war would go on, perhaps even intensify.
