Does it feel frustrating when the people who think should be punished by god are in fact not punished and never have been? The only way for them to be punished is when people like you take matters into their own hands. But that is not punishment thats just exacting personal fantasies onto other people.
Then maybe god is just an "altar ego" and you are using him to push your own agenda.

Something to think about.

The opposite, god never does anything. Its the people doing all the arresting and prosecuting. The only way someone gets justice is if someone else catches the criminal and puts them in jail. You ever think about that?

You know one thing that brings me great comfort? God's Covenant with Noah. Here is a snippet:

Genesis 9:1-7 ESV

And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. 2 The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image.

7 And you, be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it.”

I want to zoom in on verse 5 and 6. Whoever sheds the blood of man, God will demand an accounting. Many will get caught in this world and many will get away in this world. Yet everyone will one day stand in front of the Throne of God to give an account of their life.

Hebrews 9:27-28 ESV

27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

People will get away in this life but there is no more running away on the great Day of Judgement.
