balrog is correct. There's still quite a bit of talent there now, but cost of living is so insane there that Seattle, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, etc. are absorbing a lot of software talent, data analysis, etc.

When it comes to other technologies such as aerospace, medical devices, material science, etc. Silicon Valley isn't really up there.
