He's going to dodge you friend on all questions. But he'll keep coming back to let you know that you are wrong, he just won't have any evidence or text to prove it just his word.

I don't know him well enough to claim that but I'll take your word for it :).

Or maybe his convictions aren't strong enough that a legitimate discussion with a believer of another faith may alter his belief system.

Give a reasonable explanation why you won't have the discussion.

You won't argue scripture, but you'll use it to dodge from an actual discussion.
