I think now that after two shit presidents won purely through bureaucratic means while losing the actual number of votes the electoral college might go the way of the dinosaur. Enthusiastic voter suppression and nepotism mark Republican victories, and those are not enduring strategies.

We will see how the next few years go. Unless you have very high hopes for Trump. If it goes really bad it will look like the powers that be installed a president after media complicity to the detriment of the American people. We will just have to see how well he handles Obama's recovery and how bad he shits the bed. It isn't going well for him.

He'll probably lose in 2020, but the electoral college isn't going away for quite a while.
