What exactly would be a "false move" by Hezbollah in your opinion? Cause they've been striking the shit outa northern Israel for months now with very little retaliation from Israel (although Israel has been doing a good job of wacking high level hezz). If Israel invaded Lebanon, Iran would never get directly involved.

The Israeli air force has the ability to turn beruit and the rest of Lebanon into glass but hezz has the ability to overwhelm israels ad defenses and return the favour while still having the ability to hide in their mountains. Only American direct involvement changes this outcome.

What you described is not an outcome. The outcome would be a disaster. But be in no doubt, when the dust settles Israel would remain and Lebanon would be rubble.
