Not right now, not directly at least. Vast majority of Americans are tired of wars and are getting squeezed by inflation. It would be political seppuku for Biden to draw us into a war with Iran. He’d basically be giving away the election. IMO this is more of a defensive show of force me thinks.

Lean more towards Ofthevoid's opinion that this is a defensive show of force mostly just because a war with Iran right now seems like it would be a really bad idea to me. The US will 100% defend Israel and go to war for it if necessary but I think it will try to avoid it if possible.

While I tend to agree you both of your assessments, I think Israel wants to drag the US into this clusterfuck; election year be damned. The UAE, qatar and turkey have all publicly stated that they won't allow America to launch their aircraft from their countries or use their airspace (hence the aircraft carriers in the Red sea)

All the pieces are moving into place and if Iran won't escalate, Israel sure as hell will( imo). Israel has to stop Iran from exporting the absolute shiton of drones/missles to its proxies and a direct confrontation (with America of course) benefits Israel greatly.

Will be interesting to see what happens next

Pretty much this. Also, US has had years of low military recruitment with 2024 making record low numbers, so any involvement would risk brining back actual conscription. And the generation that would be up to serve is the one largely in favor of ceasefire and sympathetic to Palestinians plight

Terrorist attack reported in Sydney Australia, first indications are a muslim man armed with a machete / knife killed multiple people in a mass stabbing targeting an Israeli store or restaurant, at least 4 victims dead including a baby and the attacker shot dead by police. The mall is a jewish hotspot and there's an israeli restaurant visible in the videos and the guy looks like the isis stereotype so I'd say pretty good guess
