Lol all the butthurt Trumpian snowflakes going REEEE about this even though it's based on a really good film, and is not an attack on white people. Of course in this era of fake news and reactionary emotional responses to anything anyone disagrees with, they completely miss the fact that the film's (and presumably series') creators are not taking the side of the main character, they are merely telling the story.

The frustration I feel to see the millions of people freaking the fuck out about this due to their own retarded misunderstanding and that there's nothing I can do about it, I just have to watch the stupidity from afar...

I'm not giving the series a fair chance, because it's created from a dude that tweeted "fuck white people" because more whites voted for Trump than Hilary, and more minorities voted for Hillary than Trump.

I'm not going to give some guilty, white, Hollywood liberal the time of day. I rather listen to Van Jones or Michelle Alexander, not some privileged white asshole from California.

I've read The New Jim Crow from Michelle Alexander, I watched the 13th netflix, I love Van Jones as a commentator. I'm a complete liberal(small l and big L) on CJ reform. Fuck liberal whites who express their self-hatred by producing shit against the right-wing/white people.

I don't know anything about the series or its creator, I just know the film was good.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel this exact same way about all my leftist friend's crying about the sky falling with every move Trump makes.

If they actually think the sky is falling with each move then yes that is an overreaction, but it's perfectly reasonable to be increasingly upset with each move when we're already well past the point of accepting the utter idiocy he's been proposing on a daily basis, to the point of intense protest is perfectly warranted IMO.

I think his point was that's not a good reason to avoid that person's work.

That doesn't fly with me. I rather watch something produced by the most liberal black person about race relations than any guilty white person.

It's not really "about" race relations, it's just a story. I mean the plot involves race relations but it's not like it's direct social commentary.

Well, I guess the "Dear White People" title is just focused on the story, no racial/political implications.

Correct, it's the name of the main character's radio show.
