That's the thing about nebulous law, where prosecutors can make an argument that anything is illegal if they can interpret grey area law whichever way they please, which means they can establish probable cause on any basis as long as there's a politically motivated judge to sign off on it. Great for warrantless wiretapping, indefinite pretrial detention, spying on attorney client privileged communications, etc. Its a real playground for those who trample on civil liberties.

I mean one is a murder happening because the cop tries to stop someone committing a crime and the other is targeted assassination for political reasons.
